2006 Annual Book
The 2006 Annual Book Sale raised $2500.85 - the
largest book sale on record. This year our plans are to break that
record. The Book Sale has been set for April 18th - 20th, which is National Library
Week. Friends’ members will be able to purchase books on Wednesday, April 18th
from 3 to 6 p.m. and 8 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 19th. The book sale will
then be open to all patrons beginning at 10a.m Thursday on April 19th thru Friday at 6p.m. April 20th. On
Saturday, April 21 all are invited to come fill a bag with books and make a
donation. This will take place from 10a.m through 2p.m. Please come
out, tell all your friends, and help us to make 2007 even bigger and
better.
If
you have books that you no longer need please donate them to the library, we
will be happy to sort through them. The ones we can use we put into circulation
the rest are sold in our annual book sale. The money raised goes to the library
to buy things that they need, but the budget could not cover.
Friend appreciates your donated items!
Your donations are our life blood. It is through the sale of your donated items
that Friends generates funds to support its programs. We sell these items
at our local used book sale in April. The proceeds derived from these
sales benefit the library and its programs. And it doesn’t stop there!
Our book sales give community members access to good books at bargain prices.
We genuinely appreciate your donations and sincerely thank all of you who
donate and sustain our projects.
