The Friends of the Atlanta Public Library

	Create public support for an expanding Library program
	Intensify community awareness and use of the Library
	Encourage gifts, endowments, and memorials for the Library
	Aid in public relations by informing the community about the Library’s services and problems; and communicating the needs of the community to the Staff and the Library Advisory Board.
	Sponsor projects that encourage Library use
	Strengthen and enlarge the scope of public library service through the financial support of memberships and volunteer work.
